Our Purpose

We at Keep It Movin, Inc. are dedicated to meeting the challenges that female inmates face upon reintegration into society. We will accomplish this through the use of a comprehensive, evidence-based approach that will provide accommodations and in-house educational opportunities, as well as career and life skills development.

Our Vision

K.I.M. is focused on providing and improving the lives of women struggling with incarceration which causes lack of employability. We envision a world in which all young women regardless of race, ethnicity, income level or social status are nurtured and empowered to reach their fullest potential.

Our Mission

To enhance and meet the challenges of reentry by developing a comprehensive evidence-based approach that will provide in-house services and accommodations. Our goal is to increase the organizations ability to better serve our clients and customers in the DMV area.

We are an organization dedicated to increasing our ability to better serve our clients in the District of Columbia, Maryland, & Virginia.

Our organization will be strengthened by partnerships with public and private agencies, and community faith-based organizations as well as mentoring and development programs. These partnerships are geared towards helping our organizations create a unique blend of services to reduce recidivism, homelessness and unemployment hindrances. Our organization will diversify funding to expand resources that will promote growth and ensure competency of staff, volunteers and board members necessary to achieve our measurable goals.
